Come and hear the story of life, death, survival and forgiveness by: Sokreaksa Himm (Cambodia)
In 1977 at the age of 14, Sokreaksa “Reaksa” Himm saw 13 members of his family murdered by Khmer Rouge soldiers in the Killing Fields of Cambodia. Miraculously surviving the massacre, Reaksa swore revenge against the men responsible for the loss of his family. Years later, after surviving the horrors of refugee camps and roving death squads, Reaksa had a life-changing conversion to Christianity that gave him a whole new reason to seek the murderers: to forgive them. He is currently a missionary in Cambodia, where he builds schools, plants churches and trains leaders. Reaksa authored two books on the tragedy and his journey to forgiveness: ‘The Tears of My Soul’ and ‘After the Heavy Rain‘. There is also currently a film in production called ‘Reaksa: A True Story of Forgiveness’
“The anger against the killers was as great as the grief for my family and it burned inside me like a great ball of fire.”
“After years of surviving the “Killing Fields”, I, along with my father and brothers were dragged to the edge of a mass grave and slashed with machetes and clubbed with hoes. Minutes later, I awoke in the grave in a pile of my dead and dying relatives. I was able to climb out and hide in nearby weeds when the killers left to round up my female relatives and complete their macabre mission.”

Burlington Tooshkenig is a First Nations Early Childhood Educator now residing in Winnipeg. He was raised by a single Christian mother who lived a life of prayer and power. She then walked away from the Lord, exposing him to the destructive ways of a life without God.
By the time he was a teen he had already been exposed to alcohol, drugs, witchcraft and suicide. It wasn’t until he was invited by people he respected that he came face to face with the reality that God does exist. Through a supernatural deliverance, Burlington was set free from all demonic oppression as well as addictions.
Today, he and his wife have a three month old son named Judah. Judah means praise and that is what God has filled Burlington’s heart with.
Music by Jason Foster.
Everyone is welcome to come male & female!
Come Jan 17, 2015 to Say-it Saturday
Say-it Saturday
We invite You to the next “Say-it Saturday” with The Winnipeg, January 17, 2015.
“Say-it Saturday” is two or three sharing their stories of transformation.
Would you like to be a new man or woman? These men will show how Jesus can transform your life.
Jason Foster will be leading the praise singing.
Trevor Dennis will be offering the keynote story.
Trever believes that even though we are sinners who have fallen short of the glory of God, we can through the Lord’s grace come to know Jesus in a real and meaningful way. Jesus gives us purpose, position, and victory over our circumstances. Trever believes in a gracious and compassionate God who loves us even when we fall to distraction, temptation and sin. He believes it is not by chance that the prodigals turn towards the road home, because God indeed calls His children by name!
Come hear Trever’s story of turning from stumbling and sin, to discovering the hope of what God has called him to, and the glory of God working in his life to make him a mirror reflection of the Father’s heart!
Malachi 4:6 reads in part, “He will turn the hearts if the father to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers….”

Say Saturday
We invite You to Say Saturday with The Winnipeg, October 18.
Say Saturday is a testimony meeting, where two or three will share their testimony of Why Jesus.
We have two men sharing at our upcoming meeting, one of whom is Ben Funk. Ben says, “Life has a way of maturing us. Through that process we become less reactionary and more reflective when faced with the obstacles that complicate life.”
Through this, Ben has begun to understand the mystery of why living life for God and by His principles, makes sense! As you listen to Ben, you may find the secret to greater Joy and Peace.
We are also promised a mini testimony from another presenter.
Jason Foster will be leading worship.

News about the Chapter
We are working on some things for the chapter:
1. We are transcribing the audio of Jason Foster’s testimony, and will submit it to Our Canadian Voice.
2. We will post the audio on the website, and ask you to check if it is working on your device. It was recorded on a smartphone in the .amr format, and we are not sure how it will play with the website.
3. We are planning a Google Hangout on air. This is a hangout where ten people can participate through Google plus, and the rest of the world can listen through Youtube. We have some technical difficulties to overcome before we can mount this for you.
4. We are planning our next meeting for August some time. Please keep tuned.
God bless you as you seek to know and follow Him. We have our Testimony page on this site, with audio and/or video testimonies of our recent speakers. If you want to know about what Jesus can do with your life, this is a valuble place to look – and listen.
